Sportsmans Warehouse and
OTG Active open new stores


Sportsmans Warehouse and OTG Active are continuing their expansion of small-format and standalone stores with two launches taking place in the Western Cape at the end of 2018.

On 8 December, a new standalone OTG Active store opened in Tyger Valley Mall. OTG focuses on beautifully designed, functional workout apparel exclusively for women, and is well-positioned to take advantage of a buoyant women's athleisure market. The number of standalone OTG stores is expected to increase significantly over 2019 and 2020.

December also saw the opening of a 1000m2 Sportsmans Warehouse store in Stellenbosch – an established sporting market in which the brand wasn't previously represented.

 

   
           

Outdoor Warehouse's
in-store services

In a competitive landscape, Outdoor Warehouse has managed to differentiate itself through a wide range of in-store services catering to the needs of campers, hikers and adventurers.

These services include GPS map upgrades, tent pole repair and custom pole builds, free electrical cable make-up, knife sharpening, and 12-volt testing stations. Customers are able to quickly, conveniently and cheaply take advantage of these services at any of the twenty-six South African Outdoor Warehouse stores.

to the ClaytonCare Group

Effective 1 September 2018, Long4Life became the controlling shareholder of ClaytonCare, an innovative healthcare services provider that provides centres of excellent for early rehabilitation of the medically complex, ventilated patient and the post-surgery recovery patient.

Following the transaction, ClaytonCare will continue to focus on business expansion and growth in the medically complex rehabilitation field across the country. Long4Life's increased involvement will allow for the streamlining and evaluation of current business practices, a renewed marketing focus, and expanded opportunities and partnerships to enable ClaytonCare to meet its vision of a broad national footprint.
